I was born in Kolkata and raised in a family that has been living in the city for three generation. So, when I completed my engineering and got a job in a software consulting firm, it came as a shock and a challenge for me when I was transferred to Chennai. I was the first member from my family to step out of the city, thus did not have much wisdom imparted in me of how to cope with the change in culture and language. But I took it up as a challenge to further my career goals. The initial days were not at all good when I was dealing with culture, language and food differences and to compound on my agony, some accident happened which made me feel like donated organ who is being rejected by my new body. But I persevered, learned habits which made me feel more comfortable there and also made new friends. I also found success at work as I became a senior member, lead of my team within one year. As things were getting better for me my strive for learning made me take up MBA examination. I was so determined for my next goal and confident in my abilities I resigned before the results. Though the initial results were not favorable and made me question my choice but everything fell into place when I got a chance to pursue my MBA in TAPMI. Life always gives you challenging and tough situations, the best way to tackle it is to have patience and confidence in your own ability, and everything will eventually fall in place. #TAPMI #ABGLPWooMe
