Einstein says time is relative. It is true in fact since we all have the same 24 hours in a day. But haven’t you noticed that some people seem to accomplish a lot within these 24 hours while other fall flat on their expectations. I like many other had fallen into the latter category of being unable to manage my time usefully.
To come to the origin of my problem I often noted that during my young school going days that most of days I was among the group which fashionably came late to school late despite living close by and always getting permission and scolding from teachers and parents for the same. This I later in my life I realized stemmed out of my laziness and love for sleep. I used to be active in all my sports activities and plan accordingly to ensure that I was always on time to play with my friends. But when it came to studies, I used pass time and procrastinate to extents that I used to underestimate the time taken to learn my lessons.
After joining college a sense of responsibility came into me as my college was pretty far from my home and if I had missed my college bus I would have to plead my father to drop me at college and which in turn would affect his daily schedule. This sense of respect for not only mine but also other people’s time had made me more appreciative of the 24 hours I have every day. After joining work, I found that this helped me in striking a balance between professional and personal commitments. But I do sometimes wish that people can be more appreciative of theirs’ and others’ time.
