I belong to a conventional middle-class family with my father running his own business, my mother being a housewife and a younger brother in college. My parents have done everything in their power to ensure good education and more opportunities for both of us than they got in their life.

Coming from a background where education is not given priority I became the first graduate from my entire family. My parents deeply believe in me and they are accepting of my views that education is the most powerful weapon which one can use to change the world. I believe higher education is something that will help me in accelerating this change and lay path for others in my family.

While working for Cognizant for two plus years, I was fascinated by the business part of my project. I had more inclination towards understanding the business, thought process and how all components worked in achieving the targets. But, I realized that a Programmer analyst is not able to take his/her own decisions and will always have to act on others' advice who understand business which meant I was very much away from the business and decision making part. So, I decided to do MBA. Now, the question arises where is the difficult part in this journey. It came right at the start of my preparations .

I prepared for CAT16 while working and just a week before the exam I met with an accident. I had 27 stitches and a broken forearm resulting in 2 months bed rest. Unfortunately, my mother also fell ill and we discovered that she was suffering from anemia because of a tumor in her uterus. Doctors suggested the surgical removal of her uterus. My father being alone was not able to handle his business and take care of my mother. So, I decided to quit my job and look after her and alongside prepared for CAT17. At that point, I realized life will through the toughest challenges when you least expect them. But, being a human it is your duty to face them and come out victorious. I fought my demons and survived.
