From childhood, I was the student who would avoid eye contact with the teacher to avoid answering questions. My biggest fear was that if I babble something in front of the class and my classmates laughing at me. This ‘if’ kept me in dark till I finished my school. In college, I got an opportunity to work for the underprivileged people. My work was to create content for communication classes in orphanages. My friends encouraged me to handle class for the underprivileged students, but I always used to refuse. I mustered the courage and decided to conduct a class. I was surprised when my friends told that I did good. This made me understand until you try, you will not know your capabilities. Since then I started accepting new challenges. I failed in many challenges, and took my failure as a learning experience and continued experimenting.

I started an NGO called ENLIFT, invested my time in making the class better for the underprivileged students. Further, I went on to make living out of conducting classes. I joined a personality development company, traveled across India to make students employable. The learning in those two years chiseled me into an optimistic person. I started to believe the whole life to be an experiment where I can try new things and learn. I used to think that ultimate achievement was being economically successful. But my journey with NGO taught me that the ultimate achievement is not materialistic.

Simply put for me being happy is more important than being successful. And I found my way of being happy.
