I have always been amazed at the deep concern and sympathy that my parents get when they tell people that I am their only child. Often their reaction is “it is so sad that after her marriage you will be left all alone”. I would get hurt and frustrated when I was younger but now even the thought of it motivates me to do the best in my life and even though I cannot repay them fully, to take care of them in the best possible manner. I consider myself to be very fortunate to have parents who never considered me to be any less than a son. They provided me with the best of education and everything I could ever ask for in my life. It is due to this that the initiative of the Aditya Birla Group to promote disadvantaged women struck a chord with me.

Women are the pillars of our society. Educating and empowering  a woman empowers the whole household and the society in turn. Today ,women are employed in almost all kinds of jobs and have proved their mettle in many areas.I aspire to become a strong woman and give back to the society. That is how I took the decision to pursue a post graduate program in management. For this I had to overcome a lot of difficulties which includes convincing my parents to let me study as they thought that I was of marriageable age now. But I was determined and with my strong desire and resolve I was able to convince them. I am grateful to be on my path to achieve all my dreams.
