HOME - TAPMI
Let me first introduce myself. I am Deboneil Patra and I come from Bhubaneswar. My native place is in Balasore district of Odisha. I come from a middle-class family. My grandfather had a dream of having a pucca house someday, like all middle-class people in a village have. He passed away before seeing this happen but his two sons, my father and uncle made this dream of his come true a few years back. The house was completed in December 2014. Why am I focusing on thus is because of what happened in October of 2014. My father used Ultratech cement for building the house and during the month of October it was still unfinished and only in cemented condition. During that month, a cyclone “Phailin” happened with wind speeds around 80-90 kmph and lashing rains and thunderstorms. Both of them were worried whether the cement will stick or dissolve away.
They waited till the storm passed and went out to check if there was any harm to the structure. The cement was still intact and in very good condition. Both of them were very happy and satisfied that they could build a strong, sturdy and safe house by using the right ingredients that withstood adverse conditions even before it was finished. The look of content in their faces was something I had never seen before. Their happiness was priceless.
