Twinkle Jain, a B.Com graduate, was sure she wanted to get into Finance. During placement season, she had interviews lined up for Dell as well as JP Morgan Chase. She performed really well in all her GD and interview rounds. Despite not having a lot of technical knowledge, she showed a strong willingness to learn by asking a lot of questions. Finally, she bagged a summer internship with JP Morgan Chase. Seeking help from her faculty and alums from Great Lakes, she prepared for her stint at JP Morgan. 1. During your GD sections, ask as many questions as possible. It shows curiosity, willingness to learn and grow.
2. During your internships, make sure you understand your role and responsibilities well. If you are uncertain, ask for advice, ask your mentors, and be open to learning new things.
3. Certain technical terms can be a challenge for some candidates. 4. Don’t be afraid to clarify your doubts. You are not expected to know everything.
5. Be proactive and network. Your network will ultimately aid you with your career.
