There is an elevated stretch of road from student hostels to the academic block at TAPMI. This raised road, notoriously known as the "Slope" must be ascended by almost all the students each day to attend classes and to eat at the mess. This is just one of the challenges that each student at TAPMI must overcome to achieve their ambitions.
My life has been full of such challenges and as Alfred said to Bruce Wayne, "Why do we fall? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up", each challenge that I overcome has taught me valuable life lessons. The biggest challenge that I have faced in my life has been to keep up with shifting to different cities and towns after almost every 3 years, as my father was in the Indian Army. This constant flux in my life has led to me attending different schools and making new friends each time. Today, we have social media and many other things to keep in contact with all our friends, but 20 years back, it was very cumbersome to contact your friends who are in different cities. This led to me losing out with good friendships and not be able to keep a track of them even after so many years.
This experience taught me to hold on to my dear friends and reach out to anyone whom I know from the past, since the advent of social media. I also got to know about different cultures, languages and customs in the process. Having a good friend circle and support system is essential to succeed in life, and I am glad to have it.
