Every person faces multiple challenges over his lifetime, some challenges maybe small and some maybe big, but with each challenge, one acquires an experience which last for a lifetime. I would like to reminiscence the challenge I faced in turning around my academic record for the better. Up until 9th grade I was a below average student scoring just passing marks in examinations, this was a point of concern for my parents as they would worry about my future. I, however was not bothered by this and was not putting in whole lot of efforts to study and score well in examinations. During my 9th grade, a month before the final examinations, my parents sat me down and enlightened me about the importance of quality education in life. This encouraged me to work hard and for the first time in my student life, I had dedicated my full attention to my 9th grade final examination and was able to score around 75%.
Since then I have given my 100% to education and with my hardwork and dedication I was able to score good grades in my 10th and 12th board exam, I was able to secure a ranking of 1540 out of around 1.5 lakhs candidates in Karnataka CET and pass out of engineering with good grade. Most recently, decided to take up CAT and pursue MBA, which required me to balance between work and studies. By optimum time management, I was able to dedicate sufficient for CAT preparation and as result, I secured a good percentile in the exam and got it into TAPMI, one of the top ranked B-schools of India.
