“Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.”
Roger Crawford

I have completed my graduation in May 2018 and from then onwards began my preparation for the upcoming management entrance exams. I have been told initially that people without any work experience or in other words freshers have very low chances of getting through the screening processes. And being an engineer adds to the existing difficulty because of the usual preference being given to non-engineers.

I was thoroughly disappointed and demotivated in the initial days itself. My father motivated me by saying that everybody has a right to try to achieve what they want. But nobody has a right over the result. So, I shouldn’t give up my right at any cost. These words made a deep impact on me and I decided to give it a best shot, come what may. I planned a daily schedule for my preparation and decided to give at least two mock tests per week. I used to analyse my performance in every mock test and make a note of my strengths and weaknesses. This went on for several months. Finally, the exams season arrived and I gave all of the management tests which I applied for. My biggest fear was that I wouldn’t be shortlisted for any of the institutes that I applied for. But, I was proven wrong when I have got interview calls from not one but 12 institutes and actually converted eight of them.

So, I have realised that in order to achieve something in life sometimes it is necessary to pay a deaf ear to the world and just keep working for whatever we want.
