What did I do then?
Well, I returned to the very basics. I did drills which beginners used to do in our sport. Many laughed, but I continued with it.
Two months later, I reached the finals of my first Asian Level Junior tournament. I ended that year in the top 20 National Rankings and top 150 in Asian Rankings.
The next question is- All of this is alright man, but where is Academics here? Here is the Academics part then.

After CAT 2020, I was in a similar situation as in 2014. I scored a meager 64%ile in VARC. One year later, I scored a 97%ile in VARC of CAT 2021. In other entrances like XAT and IIFT, my scores in VARC were the highest amongst all the sections.
My VARC performance was poor, just like my forehand’s performance. Both of them became one of my strengths a few months later. The solution was similar. It was the approach that made all the difference. The approach of getting back to the basics and then rebuilding your castle of knowledge and technique once again. Trust me, all it needs is a little bit of patience and calmness.
So, finally here’s the truth. When in crisis, restart and say LOVE ALL.
All the Tennis lovers, you get the pun right?
