Everyone goes through some or the other hardships in their life. When life gets tough the tough get going and when the going gets tough their life falls apart. In my own life I dealt with hardship and failure though its close nothing when we come across hardships faced by some great people like Nelson Mandela. Who spent 27 years in a prison before he became the first democracy elected president in South Africa.
So, I was an underconfident and introvert when I was a kid. It affected my childhood in various manner before I finally overcome it. Having a low esteem in your childhood restricts you to try out new things as you lack the confidence and that’s exactly what happened with me. It was hard to cope up whenever I use to make mistakes, lose or fail as compared to other children of my age, as a result I went into my shell. My parents were my best support to pass through this phase of my life they realized that I need extra attention as compared to other children so they started letting me do things in my comfort zone and even when I made mistakes, they made sure I learnt from my mistakes. Slowly and gradually I figured out my strengths and weaknesses and got involved in fun activities like dancing and secured a diploma in Kathak dance during my high school days. Now when I have surpassed that phase of my life, I realize how important it is to live and cherish your childhood days without any fear. Today I am a confident woman who loves to interact with people and isn’t even a bit reluctant to step up on stage. Life is tough and we all have our own challenges to face. But we don’t have to face them alone. With a caring heart and encouraging hand, we can all play a role in supporting others through their greatest hardships.
