Consulting Most Sought-After Domain At IIM K - IIM Kozhikode Final Placement Report | PGP Class of 2020

IIM Kozhikode has released the final placements report for the PGP class of 2018-2020! 413 students of the class of 2020 at IIM K participated in the final placements process. Top brands on campus included BCG, Bain & Co., Mahindra Group, HUL, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Amazon, and Microsoft among others. The following are important highlights from the final placements process at IIM Kozhikode:

• 413 students of the PGP class of 2018-2020 participated in the final placements process at IIM Kozhikode.
• 131 recruiters rolled out offers to the PGP class of 2020 at IIM Kozhikode, a 22.4% increase over the previous year. Recruiters also made 5 offers for international locations.
• Consulting was the most sought-after domain for the class of 2020 at IIM Kozhikode, with 29% of the offers being made for Consulting roles. 21% of the offers were made for Finance roles, while 19% of the offers were made for Sales & Marketing roles.
• More than 40% offers secured in IT/Analytics domain are of Product Manager role. 50% of the offers for General Management roles were made by Airtel, Capgemini, Mahindra, Reliance, RPG and TAS.
• There was a 12% increase in the average CTC and a 12.4% increase in the median CTC over the previous year.

IIM Kozhikode Final Placements 2020 - Top Consulting, General Management Recruiters

A host of marquee recruiters like Accenture Consulting, Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co., BCG, Deloitte, EY, Infosys Consulting, Optum, PwC, and ZS participated in Final Placements 2020. Bain & Co. and BCG made 15 offers while Deloitte, EY and PwC offered diverse roles to students. 29% of the total number of offers were for Consulting roles.

Even with the economic slump affecting the market, our long-term collaborators like Airtel, Capgemini, Mahindra, Reliance, RPG Group and Tata Administrative Services extended more than 50% offers in the General Management Domain. AB InBev and Rebel Foods are among the first-time recruiters. 8% of the total number of offers were for General Management roles.

IIM Kozhikode Final Placements 2020 - Top Sales & Marketing, Finance Recruiters

A significant increase of 20% has been observed in the average CTC compared to last year. Prominent recruiters in this domain include: ABFRL, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, GE Healthcare, HUL, Lenovo, Maruti, Philips, Pidilite, Samsung, Sony Pictures, TATA Sky, Tolaram Group among many others. 19% of the total number of offers were for Sales & Marketing roles.

Contrary to the industry sentiments, traditional banks extended more than 65% of the total offers in the Finance Domain. Axis Bank, Citi Bank, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, D.E.Shaw, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Nomura, and State Street offered diverse roles. 21% of the total number of offers were for Finance roles.

IIM Kozhikode Final Placements 2020 - Top Operations, IT/Analytics Recruiters

Operations witnessed a 19.5% increase in mean CTC as compared to last year. Blackbuck, Bounce, Cloudtail and Udaan – first-time recruiters extended offers for multiple roles. Amazon, Flipkart, Ninjacart and Uber were some of the other prominent recruiters. 9% of the total number of offers were for Operations roles.

More than 40% offers secured in IT/Analytics domain are of Product Manager role from companies like Cisco, Citrix, JDA, Microsoft, Myntra, VMware and Wipro. Other prominent recruiters in this domain include American Express, Google, Gramener, IBM, Sabre, WorkIndia. 14% of the total number of offers were for IT/Analytics roles.
