IIM Ahmedabad has completed final placements for the MBA class of 2020! 153 companies from 20 diverse cohorts participated in the process, placing all students across geographies with 182 different roles. Top consulting firms - McKinsey & Co. and the Boston Consulting Group were the top recruiters at the IIM A campus this placements season. IIM Ahmedabad Final Placements 2020 - Important Highlights
- 153 firms participated with 182 different roles in the placement process in 2020.
- McKinsey & Co. made the most offers (including Pre-Placement Offers) at the end of the final placement process with 27 offers, followed by Boston Consulting Group with 23 offers.
- In the consumer goods and consumer services domain, AB InBev extended the most offers – 8, followed by Airtel with 7 offers.
- With 6 offers, CK Birla was the largest recruiter in the General Management cohort.
- In the IT Consulting cohort, Tata Consultancy Services was the largest recruiter with 12 offers.
- In the laterals process, FinIQ made the highest number of offers (including pre-placement offers) – 11.
- There were 160 dream applications, where students were allowed the flexibility of making “dream” applications to firms of their choice in a subsequent cluster even with an offer in hand.
- There were 38 new recruiters at IIM A this year, including Blackstone Group, Colgate, DaytoDay Health, Diageo, FIITJEE, HCL Technologies and Strategy& (Middle East).
- 44 firms hired during the first phase (the lateral hiring process) of placements. These ranged from diverse sectors such as technology, banking, consulting, general management and analytics.
- 2 students had the opportunity to start their own venture under the mentorship of CIIE.CO, the entrepreneurial hub built by IIM A.

IIM Ahmedabad Final Placements 2020 - Consulting, Finance
Consulting firms, offering management consulting roles across geographies (including Malaysia and Middle East) continue to hire in large numbers. McKinsey made the highest number of offers (including pre-placement offers) (27 offers), closely followed by The Boston Consulting Group (23) in Cluster 1.
Finance firms offered (including pre-placement offers) roles in investment banking, private equity, venture capital and capital markets across functions and geographies (including Singapore). Avendus made the highest number of offers (including pre-placement offers) – 10, closely followed by JP Morgan Chase & Co. - 8 in Cluster 1.
IIM Ahmedabad Final Placements 2020 - Top Companies In FMCG/Consumer Goods/Telecom/Digital Media
With a mix of diverse cohorts recruiting from IIM A, roles were offered across geographies including UAE. Consumer Goods firms extended the highest number of offers, closely followed by Consumer Services and General Management firms. AB InBev made the highest number of offers (including pre-placement offers) – 8, closely followed by Airtel – 7, in Cluster 2.

Among General Management firms, CK Birla Group made the highest number of offers – 6.

With a mix of diverse cohorts recruiting from IIM A, roles were offered across geographies. IT Consultancy firms extended the highest number of offers, closely followed by customer tech and education tech firms.
TCS made the highest number of offers (including pre-placement offers) – 12, closely followed by FinIQ - 11 (Including pre-placement offers).
