IIM Lucknow Selection Criteria 2025-27: Step 2: Calculation of Composite Score for Interview Shortlists

Candidates who meet the minimum sectional and overall cut-offs are evaluated in the following areas to achieve a composite score. Top candidates across different categories are called for the WAT-PI Round.

Graduation Marks	10	To be normalized as per Academic Discipline: (i) Engineering; (ii) Science; (iii) Commerce; (iv) Arts; (v) Others. [{ (Candidates Marks-Mean)/ Standard Deviation} * 50/3+ 50] * 10/100 Simple Terms- A candidate's marks are adjusted with the mean scores and standard deviation within an academic category and scaled out of 10.
Work Experience	10	(No. of Months- 6)* .50 (Max Marks=10 & only for more than 6 months of experience as of 31st July 2024)
Gender Diversity	5	Female Candidates
Academic Diversity	5	Non-Engineering Bachelor’s Degree

IIM Lucknow Selection Criteria2025-27: Step 3: Calculation of the Final Score after the WAT-PI Round.

After the WAT-PI round the final shortlists for admissions to IIM Lucknow are based on the following criteria:

Please note that the minimum requirement for passing Personal Interview is 12 out of 40 marks. Names of candidates who do not pass PI are not included in the final merit list.

What is the minimum CAT percentile to get an interview call from IIM-Lucknow?

Ans: For the general category a minimum of 90 percentile is required to be eligible for admission to IIM-Lucknow. At least 85 percentile is required under each section- VARC, DILR, and Quants.

Ans: Yes, IIM-Lucknow considers diversity points in interview shortlisting. It rewards 5+5 marks for gender and academic diversity. However, for final selection, this is scaled down to 5 marks.

3. Can I crack IIM-Lucknow with low academics?

Ans: IIM-Lucknow considers 12th and Graduation marks for candidates who apply for the program. A total of 20 marks are given for the initial shortlisting. Very low academics can hinder your chances of admission to the institution.
