PART A

Aditya Birla Group is the founding stone of  thousands of buildings in India. Just imagine what would have happened had ABG not existed. We probably would be staying on the road. My uncle is a promoter and five buildings got constructed under him and not a single one of them was not made of Ultratech cement. The two buildings that I stay in Kolkata are made by ABG. Let's come to the garments section. Can say with a guarantee that the price at which Peter England sells and the quality it upholds can't be matched by anyone. It's astonishing that all my B School interviews I gave, I was wearing Peter England formals. Even now too, I straightforward walk into the mall and go to Peter England. And the best part is that I am not the only one who has blind trust on Peter England. My friends have the same trust too. Formals or in-formals Peter England is the way.

When I walk into a mall all I see is the influence of ABG. Mall made by ABG. Biggest garment store i.e. Pantaloons is ABG's. Walking into that even stores like Peter England, Allen Solly, Van Heusen are also of ABG's. So basically one can't have home, clothes to wear without ABG's existence. And not just that. Aditya Birla Capital Limited has a strong presence across the life insurance, asset management, private equity, corporate lending, structured finance, project finance, general insurance broking, wealth management, equity, currency and commodity broking. So in one line if someone asks me to put together what Aditya Birla Group then that will be

'There is no life without Aditya Birla Group!'

PART B

Challenges are meant to be overcome. The biggest challenge that I overcame was when I was giving class XII exams. My uncle met with a fatal accident. He used to stay in Mumbai with no relatives whatsoever. After the news broke out to our family my parents had to rush from Kolkata to Mumbai on very short notice leaving me alone at home for the very first time in my life. And I still had my maths and chemistry exam left. I was scared, didn't know what to do, how to live for the next 5 days. But somehow I managed with just a cook helping me out. All I did was trying to focus more on studies. Even though I couldn't avoid thinking about my uncle I still tried my best to just focus on studies. Fortunately, my uncle got well and I on the other hand managed to get a 100/100 in the Maths exam. That was the first time when I got to know that even I can work it out for myself on my own. The guy who was always shy of leaving home, was eager to join a college outside his state just to have that experience of living on his own. Now it's been 6 years that I have stayed away from Kolkata and somehow that incident was the instigator to a more fearless guy, a guy who was confident, a guy who was no more dependent o his parents, a guy who could do his job well on his own.
