ABGLP: Woo Me Competition

Part A:How Big is ABG in my Life

I still remember the day of my convocation when me and my father had worn suits by Peter England which made me feel so proud and confident on the day. I still cherish the smile on  father’s face when he saw me holding my degree.

Aditya Birla Group is one of the first names that comes to my mind when I think of Indian Conglomerates that have made it large in the entire world. ABG spans a total of 34 countries and employs 1,20,000 employees. This group hasn’t just made it large in the world, but has touched many lives including mine.

I still remember the day of my convocation when me and my father had worn suits by Peter England which made me feel so proud and confident on the day. I still cherish the smile on  father’s face when he saw me holding my degree.

So many activities of my day-to-day life are touched by the Aditya Birla Group. First, I am able to easily contact my family and friends and use high speed mobile internet because of Vodafone Idea Limited. Vodafone SuperNet 4G enables me to do research on the go and transcend borders of communication.

Even it impacts the way we travel and also the way we stay by providing infrastructure related materials like cement, etc. It impacts us in ways which we dont realise and imagine but has a huge impact on us.

Second, in a B-school, formals are an integral part of proper dressing. Buying female formals is more difficult than buying male formals as not many brands are available in the market. But Aditya Birla Group caters to our demand of formal clothing for women by providing an exclusive range by Allen Solly Women and Van Heusen Women. All the formal clothing I have purchased is courtesy of the Aditya Birla Group.

The Aditya Birla Group also indirectly impacts my life by taking measures to improve our society and country and making it a better place for all of us to live. Its CSR initiatives in Healthcare, Education, Livelihood, Infrastructure and its endeavour in making model villages is indeed making our society better. The Group is also acting responsible towards its actions which will impact the future generations and has thus rightly taken Sustainability into account.

This is how Aditya Birla Group is big in my life.

Part B: Challenge Which I Overcame

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be (possibly your roommate, neighbor, coworker, longlost friend, lover, or even a complete stranger) but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

And sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower, or heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. It would be safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience help to create who you become. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious when you open your heart. If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things.

The challenge which i faced was that i was never too extrovert a person and opening up with people easily whom i do not know or trust i would not talk to him much. But gradually learning and putting an effort i started interacting and opening up and talking to people to make everyday count.I made myself believe in myself and that gave me the confidence. Thus, we should have confidence in ourselves and seize the day and not hesitate in talking to others.
