Aditya Birla Group’s - Pantaloons
I am regular buyer of Urban Ranger and Urban Eagle Pants and T-shirts from Pantaloons for over 10 years now and they are absolutely great to wear. Very chilled out and durable and very very comfortable. All the brands available in pantaloon are great.
The staff at the store is very helpful. Even the music played in the store is very hip. My fashion sense has varied a lot with age and mood and I have found clothing complimenting each and every mood and age under one roof and that is pantaloons. Though Pantaloons has many brands in their store, but Pantaloons Urban Ranger is the one which Satisfied me with size and fit.
The Best thing with Pantaloon - cloths here are specifically manufacture with Indian Mentality, and its like my wavelength always matches with the designers of cloths there. The cash back points and loyalty points are awesome and makes me wanna shop more and more.
Overall - Pantaloons is one the best clothing store I have come across yet. Love em'.

My Kaizen Moment
One of the major challenges came in my life while working in my previous organisation was of union strike at one of my supplier’s plant leading to a complete shutdown of their plant.
Production meetings were becoming nightmare. Very little support from senior management. The union problem at supplier end seemed endless. Inventories were running low. Alternate supplier was pushed beyond its limits. But the requirement for steering Spindle Middle kept on rising. This rising pressure to provide an immediate and sustainable solution to this crisis led to my biggest success and learning lesson.
The part in concern was a long lead time part. It had huge amount of machining and heat treatment. The part was machined from a 36mm dia bar to 19mm.
With no time in hand and my back against the wall I came up with the idea of changing the manufacturing process from machining to forging. The forging operation required less operational time. The material required for forging was drastically less. The saving in material was around 1.2kg and saving in time was 55 min. The kaizen led to an annual cost saving of Rs 1.5 million. It was awarded best kaizen of the year.
