PART A
The Aditya Birla Group has been a huge contributor to the Indian economy even before the nation gained independence from the British Empire. The conglomerate has been in existence since 1857 when the struggle for independence was running rife in the country. The impact that Aditya Birla Group has had in contributing to our nation is phenomenal. Also as far as the product are concerned, it caters to the market in a brilliant way with exotic range of products. We live in a world that is transforming at a rate faster than the speed of light. Change and evolution have always been the only constant that has helped the big-shot corporate to succeed and stay relevant to the denizens of this planet. In the world of twenty-first century, there are very few organisations that have managed to imprint their mark on our lives and Aditya Birla Group is one of them. We think about our lives, see around us and one of the most commonly used entities that we find around us is an Aditya Birla Group’s product.
Aditya Birla Group has been India’s third-largest Indian private sector conglomerate for a long time. It is not just because they have managed to establish a successful business model that is based on growth driven strategies focusing on the emerging markets across the globe, but they have also managed to touch the sentiments of common people in our day to day activities.
PART B
Being from a very small town in Rajasthan, I never thought of writing my story here sitting in a top B-school. Certainly, everyone has their rise moment once in a while and mine came to me as I left my home and moved to Delhi for my graduation. Shifting from a protected and enclosed environment to a place with unknown faces was my biggest challenge but somehow, I survived, although still hustling. These situations made me strong and also gave me enough insights on how to deal with various situations without loosing your calm. Now when I retrospect, I see my town where I was born and brought up, spending my 18 years. The town is in itself a place away from the hustle and bustle of city life and so was I. There were a few schools and colleges, all being Hindi medium but one, Angel Public School, my Alma Mater, which I am very thankful to. My family, being a little conservative, wanted me to stay there and study, but my hard work paid off and I scored a decent percentage of 95.80 making me the District Topper and somehow this convinced my parents to finally allow me to break all the barriers and move ahead in my life. And this explains why I came to Delhi, completely new to this lifestyle, lot of peer pressure and no one to support morally in the starting. Then I pulled my socks, came out of my comfort zone, interacted with a lot of people, made new friends and the phoenix rose again. I took my first step, then few more steps, then it got easier day by day and my journey began. Thanks to ABGLP Woo Me, thanks to ABG for providing me this platform, for giving me a shout out and sharing my story so that it can motivate many more like me, to rise above all the odds, to walk and to lead.
