Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Mumbai, India.It is our national pride which continues to achieve success from 1857.Grasim Industries Ltd, the flagship of the Aditya Birla Group, was incorporated on 25 August 1947, just 10 days after India became independent. The firm then manufactured textiles from imported raw materials. Grasim is now a global leader in viscose staple fibre.
Today the Aditya Birla Group is a $40 billion (Rs.2.45 trillion) corporation and many of the group firms are in the league of Fortune 500 companies. It has over 120,000 employees from 42 nations, and operates in 36 countries. Notably, 50% of the Aditya Birla Group’s revenue comes from its overseas operations.
The group has a presence in non-ferrous metals, cement, textiles, chemicals, agri-business, carbon black, mining, wind power, insulators, telecommunications, financial services, retail and trading solutions.
The group owns one of the top three telecom companies in India, the nation’s largest cement manufacturer and one of its top retailers.
In last year 2018,it's cement industry Ultratech made binani cement it's wholly owned subsidiary.Also cellular network idea has merged with Vodafone to India's largest telecom provider Vodafone Idea Limited.
Overall Aditya Birla group has impacted my life's largely.From it's cement industy,aluminium industry(Hindalco),garment sector like Peter England,Van Husen,Allensoly to it's chemical sector and telecom sector have large contribution in my life.If I can be a part of ABG group,I will be honored and I can deliver my best to this group.As I am from finance background,I can put my corporate finance knowledge to lift it's success to top.
Part B:
After completing my graduation in the core stream(Electrical),I got an opportunity to serve in leading IT sector in the world.So as becoming a part of core stream,initially it was my tough task to switch my domain into software. After initial training season,I was involved in insurance domain.So ,both technically and domain wise it was really challenging task to me to cover up and meet the deadlines and submit my deliverables. But somehow,after rigorous hard work and in the burning moment of my project,I finally was successful to cope up with the environment and successfully completed my project along with the team.
After my apparent success, i didn't give up.I decided to take another challenge.I thought if I can put myself successfully from core sector to IT sector,I can climb more also.I thought it was time to learn my management skills and business architecture.I decided to take management entrance exam(CAT).Initially I thought I can manage that.But after time flies,I felt it was daunting task to get time for the preparation.My office working hours was of 9 hours and when there was tough situation,it stretched up to 10-12 hours.So managing office and prepare for the CAT was most difficult task to me.One point of time,I thought I would quit the job because managing both sides was really hectic for me.After Also distance from my office to my home was of 2 hours.But no!!!I made myself realize,that after my MBA I am going to manager and most important task of manager is to manage everything most efficiently.SoI didn't give up.I took the challenge and started to prepare hard.During my weekend,during my office leisure time,I used to engaged myself in preparation and after 2 years of immense fight,I finally got success.I got admission in IMT Ghaziabad.
I think this is my biggest achievement in life till now and I hope I can continue to overcome difficult situations in life in future also.
