Why Aditya Birla is a big part of my life
Aditya Birla Group is the third-largest Indian private sector conglomerate with its services in various sectors like banking, cement, fashions, metals and many more
Aditya Birla has been a part of every big and small thing in my life, in some instances, without me even being aware of it. From the house I’ve lived in all my life to the clothes that I am wearing as I write this article, Aditya Birla has been a constant presence in my life.
Birla Carbon has made my driving safer with its Carbon Nano Particles, Birla Copper has enabled Indian Railways to provide me with nostalgic train journeys in my childhood days, Vodafone Idea has helped me connect with loved ones whenever & wherever I desired, and last but not least Birla Fashion has been a huge part of my fashion statement.
Simply put, Aditya Birla has made various aspects of my life a joyful one. Even to India as a whole, Aditya Birla has contributed immensely by creating thousands of jobs and touched millions of lives with its CSR initiatives. In doing so, ABG has not only showed it is BIG in terms of their achievements but also BIG at heart.
A story of how I overcame a challenge in my 1st job
When I joined my first start-up as a marketing associate, the company didn’t have any sales or marketing employees and no customers except for 2 trial customers. I was inexperienced and everyone around me expected me to fail to bring about a big change in the company. I took all that negativity in and used it to fuel my work. I worked overtime almost every day to learn as much as I could in a short time so I could start contributing to my organization.
Within 5 months, I succeeded in getting our website up and running, increase its traffic from 0 to 1000 visits a month and managed to convert 6 customers while increasing the number of trial customers to 18. My CEO was so impressed with my dedication that he referred me to another start-up (where I worked for 16 months) when our start-up had to unfortunately shut down due to investor problems.
Overcoming this challenge in my life has taught me a lot. It taught me all about never giving up no matter how hopeless a situation may be, even if no one believes in your abilities or dedication. All that matters is that you rise to the occasion and deliver the very best that you have to offer. What is more important is that you give your best not for recognition or praise but for self-satisfaction and regret-free life.
