Indianmoney.com is an online financial help providing a website which provides financial advice to more than 10,000 people on a daily basis. The USP of this website is that it provides free financial advice that also just over a phone call.
My journey from my college to indianmoney.com was an interesting one. where most of my classmates had their respective companies come to campus and interview them, I and my fellow candidates had to travel over 35 km to reach the company head office for our selection process.
The selection process was not the easiest either, it had several rounds which included a written test, and email writing assignment, two technical interviews and one last interview with the CEO of the company, MR. CS Sudhir. All the rounds were easy with a mix of both technical and soft skill questions, the most awaited round was the one with MR. Sudhir, after all, everyone is scared to directly interact with the company CEO.
To my utter surprise, the interview was very interactive and MR. Sudhir was very inquisitive which helped in making me feel comfortable and answer to my best capabilities. And the offer letter after the long day of toiling was felt nothing less than a trophy.
My internship started in the month of April and Bangalore weather was as welcoming as my new office, most of the first week went in getting acclimated to the new environment and doing basic research of the working of the organization, this is where I got the time to extensively interact with my Internship Mentor Mrs. Neetu K and Mr. Samarth , they helped me in understanding the functioning of the organization and all the components of their " free financial advice business model", which was very important for a human resource student.
After this sky was the limit, they involved me in most of their team meetings and treated me no less than their own employee, I was given projects different than most of the other interns these projects were interesting and dynamic in nature , I worked with their policy development team and the induction training team, where my creative ideas on employee engagement and interactive ppt ideas were both welcomed and implemented by the team which gave me greater confidence and zeal to put my best foot forward.
My 8-week summer internship was a journey in itself, it helped me understand the nitty-gritty of the human resource team and gave me a broad idea about all the components of implementing an effective HR process. Indianmoney.com is a growing organization and hustling with people, idea and most importantly energy. this energy not only facilitated my learning and understanding about my area of interest but made me understand how a traditional organization can employee dynamic processes to grow and prosper and at the same time internally brand and satisfy their key stakeholders, who are their employees.
Further it reinforced my belief that people make an organisation great and for me my mentors with their forever support and motivation for learning helped making my internship a journey that I will never forget
