My interview for SJMSOM, IIT Bombay was conducted online on 5th March 2021. Honestly, it was one of the most creative & seamless admission processes I have ever attended. As we could not visit the campus, the admissions team made a virtual space for all of us (more like a video game) where all the candidates were given a different avatar. We could actually move around in the entire IIT Bombay campus virtually. There was a gaming room for people who were waiting for their interviews. It was very creative. This is how it looked like:

Now, on to the main part. As soon as my turn came, I was redirected to the interview room in the virtual space. As soon as my avatar entered the room, I was given the link to the Zoom meeting. The interview started within 5 minutes after it.
There was one professor (P1) and 2 alumni (A1 & A2)
P1: Introduce yourself
Me: Did. They seemed interested.
P1: Which is the poorest city in UP? (my native state)
Me: I told them the answer but it was wrong.
P1: Why UP has more people under BPL than other states?
Me: Told them about political instability, high population, etc.
P1: What factors determine if someone falls under BPL?
Me: Told.
P1: Asked a few questions from statistics – normal distribution, etc.
Me: Answered a few of them.
P1: What is the probability of not selecting you?
Me: Told something. He seemed satisfied.
A1: Asked questions around Software Engineering principles, lifecycle, and a few technical jargons used in the software industry.
Me: Answered almost all of it.
A2: Asked about the social work which I spoke about in my introduction. Asked a few stats related to it as well.
Me: Answered everything.
The interview ended.
My two cents: More than the right answers, they look forward to your communication skills, confidence, and the way you handle unexpected questions.
