The entire interview process was super intuitive and exciting. You can traverse in the arena like an arcade game and connect with anyone.
Post the Document verification process, I was called for the interview.
The panel comprised of 4 people which included 1 who was Finance Professor and 3 of them were alumni
Here it goes....!
P: What do you do in EY
M: told that currently undergoing training phase and will be assigned the sector after my training
P: Which is your favorite subject?
M: Thermodynamics, ic engines, project management
P: Okay, tell me about business concerns in India
M: told about the auto sector. That we are switching to EVs and it is gonna be a big challenge for India. Gave the pros as well as the cons. Gave example about that many are unaware that lithium excavation in Chile caused groundwater depletion of 60%.
P: Tell me the comparison between hydrogen fuel cells and EVs
M: Explained the comparison and why hydrogen fuel cell is cleaner but the efficiency is less. Gave a statistical report that 100 watts of electricity transfers as only 38 watts in case of the fuel cell. As electricity is used to produce hydrogen and then again it is used to power electric motor.
However in the case of EVs 100 watts of electricity transfers to 78watt of usable electric power
P: But some companies are betting heavily name some.
M: Told that I am sure of Toyota and Honda. But when Tesla was asked about it, it said that it wouldn't undermine EV domain.
P: Okay tell me about your strengths and weakness
M: Being a sportsman (I use to play table tennis at a competitive level) I have an attitude of never giving up. I also try to follow the Gita ideology that you have the right to work but not entitled to the fruits of it. My weakness is also because of my sports. Anger regret and anxiety after losing a match. I am trying to improve on that
P: Tell me your take on farm laws
M: told how it would help increase the options available to the farmers. As a loophole told that the contracts that the Pvt company makes are subjected to quality without safety for the farmers.
P: What is your take on bitcoin
M: Told that digital currency is acceptable because of the decentralized network. But I am against the speculation undergoing.
P: Please elaborate
M: Gave an example of Elon Musk. How due to his influence he was speculating prices of Bitcoin dogecoin GameStop.
P: (finance guy) So is speculation bad? or not accepted
M: The position at which Elon Musk is, the influence over people he has definitely made him a speculator. No one from among the richest has done it so straightforwardly yet
P: What other calls do u have?
M: Couldn't get one from BLACKI but I have SJIMR, XLRI, IIM Shillong, MDI, and new IIMs
P: Where does SJMSOM lie in your list?
M: The top position sir. Multiple factors, proximity to my place, Mumbai land of opportunities, IIT B ecosystem ( studying alongside some of the most brilliant minds of the country)
Also, I was a jee aspirant, so IIT B has a special place in my heart
P: Last question what is Hess' law?
M: (It came as a shock)) Sorry sir unable to recall right now (It completely skipped from my mind)
P: Thank you
The interview was very smooth, the panel was super friendly but wanted very crisp and to the point answers.
