I rolled down the window of my taxi and looked down at the hustle bustle of a Monday morning. Roads flooded with vehicles, local trains overflowing with people, kids in the school bus fighting for seats, the bridge that I was on gave me an overhead shot of all this! I saw one of the kids seated near the window opening his yellow coloured tiffin box. As I strained my eyes to get a look of what was in it, I saw aloo paratha carefully wrapped in an aluminium foil. It took me back to my school days where my mom used to wrap the most delicious aloo paratha in Freshwrapp foil. The aloo paratha always remained fresh and the moment I opened my tiffin box, my friends would surround me and wait for me to unwrap it. My mom never complained, as the tiffin always went back home empty. As I remembered my own yellow coloured tiffin box, nostalgia hit me hard! So did the brakes!
I looked ahead to see why the taxi halted. There was a construction going on at the road side. There were yellow barricades around a pothole and a few workers were gathered. My taxi gradually passed the workers who were standing near the pothole making a cement mix. I noticed the yellow black Ultratech cement bag and I realised how I am always surrounded by something yellow! The Allen Solly blouse that I was wearing, the Forever 21 shopping bag that I was carrying, the taxi that I was in, and my school tiffin box, it was all Yellow!
