Born and brought up in a family with multiple small businesses, I have seen the challenges faced in managing them efficiently. Considering which, I wanted to start a firm of my own near to my hometown. The firm which would not only provide employment to needy but also give them a better and healthy life. But to achieve any goal in life- it needs hard work, determination and most importantly proper planning (keeping the time in consideration).
To achieve the ambition of doing business, it was equally important to first increase my capability of surviving in this competitive market. So, I wanted to work in a reputed firm to gain industry level experience. To go ahead with this, I chose to do Engineering. This course not only provided me wide range of academic knowledge but also gave me the opportunity to represent my college at national level competitions. One of them was organized by Society of Automotive Engineers, India. Post this, I worked in a reputed company for 2 years. But, even after spending two years in corporate world, I felt some skills missing to achieve my goal. So, I decided to go for MBA course. It was TAPMI (which is in the city experiencing one of the best monsoons in India) which provided me the opportunity to learn the nitty-gritty of management.
There were many challenges (tangible and intangible)- like one from my family. They tried to convince me that- doing business is not “my cup of tea”. But every new challenge I faced, has motivated me to do tasks in even better way. And this one too made me realise my potential of doing anything I wish in life. Till now the biggest learning of my life is – instead of thinking about quickly achieving your goals, it is more important to constantly monitor the path you take towards it. Obstacles would come in our way, but we have to overcome them and be consistent with our efforts.
