It's not who we are but what we do that defines us-Paul James,XIMB

“He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight”

I don’t think something from a superhero movie could comprehend on what impact Aditya Birla group has on our life but to think about it ABG is having a more similar identity compared to Batman and Bruce Wayne. Tell me about Tata, from iodised table salt to IT behemoth TCS, the name tata is synonymous with every Indian, same goes for Reliance ranging from Jio to Trends. These brands are known through their sub brands or branches, but maybe people are forgetting the old saying that ”Kya aap Tata-Birla ke bete ho” when you  boast about something big you have bought. These two were the biggest business families in India during that time and still are the most powerful.

Lets delve into brands, the last time I had bought a formal shoes was from Pantaloons in a steal deal. It was during that time I had come to know that it was acquired by ABG. Remember HM and iconic Ambassador, that was Birla owned.

Cement-Ultratech the largest in India, Aluminium-Hindalco (Know Freshwrapp anyone), Cellular-Idea multiple arenas yet not pronounced, say something about Alexa You will know about Amazon however.

Well since we were talking about Bruce Wayne, I don’t think we should talk about business side more and focus on the philanthropy that ABG does. Aditya Birla scholarships, Schools are mere examples of the things ABG does for the community.

In short ABG is a part of every Indians life even though they might not know about it.

Overcoming challenges-The Pursuit of Happiness

“Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”

Hope is a weird thing. Every morning we hope to do something great but end up doing things we hate. If all goes according to what we hoped for then its great or else we are depressed. But life isn’t always happiness and greatness, everyone who have achieved something will know it but someone who couldn’t would know better.

I have never always been a winner in my life. But what is winning and losing.  For a person like Usain Bolt winning a Silver in Olympic might be losing but for an Indian sprinter taking part in the Olympic might be winning itself. Both winning and losing are relative, not absolute. Thus its how we perceive it is what makes us happy.

When I had done engineering winning was getting placed in a core company which aligned to my interests. Placed in Mahindra, hopes ran high but reality hit and it was not colorful as I hoped. Even when performance was good there was something I craved in the work which was missing. Working in shifts and preparing for CAT there was never a time which I felt overworked. After scoring good and getting in XIMB the hope stays. We fight to feel happy in the end but most importantly is to enjoy every moment of it. This is my Life at XIMB. Enjoy every moment is what I have learnt and applied in life.
