I started preparing for CAT in 2014 when one of my friends told me about MBA. I was pursuing my BTech then. I was always a bright student, who has never failed in any exam not even surprise tests. I joined a very reputed coaching for CAT and started preparing with full motivation. Little did I know what was in store for me there. I gave my 1st mock test after preparing properly and I scored 15 percentile. I was devastated. My friend, who just went without preparation scored better than me. I was facing a lot of issues in Verbal section. I analyzed the whole paper but I was not able to understand where I went wrong.
After some time I gave second paper, again I scored 20 percentile. I came back to my hostel room, looked myself inside and cried the whole night. Next day I woke up, called my Dadu (Grand Paa) and told him everything, I told him how I let everyone down. He laughed at me and asked me ‘Do you know, your father was not able to clear his 10th standard first time’. I too laughed with dadu. He told me, you will get a million opportunities, just you need to stick there no matter what. Those words did something in my mind. That was the day I decided I would never quit. And now I am pursuing my PGDM in one of the most premier B-school of India- TAPMI.
