Where should I start?

Should I start telling about my sweet memories first or horrible experiences of being rejected in the beginning of the interviews?

Okay!! Let me start with a beautiful story of mine.

Fair Enough?

Here is the girl from a village, crossed all the paths of the life to achieve what she wants. Yes! Its me, Vijaya Chitikina, pursuing PGDM second year from NMIMS Bangalore.

After a long interview process and travelling the cities all alone, there are so many learnings from the life. Getting into NMIMS is of course a dream coming true. Joined in the Brand as everyone wished for achieving something. But what is the difference for me? Merely, I also wanted to achieve so many milestones in the life but most importantly, I wanted to uplift the place I came from with women empowerment, not just like the words but I have seen the real life of the people.

With hectic schedules of MBA life, life has become so busy with clubs, committees, Guest lectures, Rules and norms, exams, assignments and project submissions with a deadly deadline. But I must agree, this is what I have started for and I always wanted to be, the busiest person. This might sound odd, but I seriously love being an MBA graduate managing all the time properly.

Like the same, my internship interviews started which geared me to the next level of maintaining the composure. The experience is disheartening, not knowing what to do as I got rejected by the brands. But then I have realised it is not they are rejected by knowing me, just the role they are looking is not fitting with my profile. Though I came to this realization after taking interviews for my clubs.

My internship is in a start-up called LimraSoftech, which is into IT software and consulting services. I was kept in the digital marketing department because I have Google certification for Digital marketing. Then moved to marketing department for lead generation. The first day of my internship started by reaching late to the office with missing routes and finally spotting the place. Entered the office with mixed feeling of whether it has a place for me. Greeted my mentor who is a simply a sweet heart for anyone who speak to her. I mean it, she is indeed a sweet heart because of the work she does, the kind of smile she shares and the commitment she holds with high values. With the introduction to the project, they have given me the complete digital marketing training within first two weeks and moved to the current projects.

The next 4 weeks is completely working on two different projects with the clients and developing digital trends, content creations, leads generations, performing digital marketing. The best learning from the internship is this, working with the current clients and bringing business to the company. The most interesting thing that I have found is the trend of digital marketing which can be seen through many hints for the future. Technology is incredible in the growth of marketing. I should accept the fact that this really impacts the life of the people in the near future. The last week of the internship is working on the keywords and re-marketing which deeply impacted me that this will have a tremendous impact on the human kind.

My internship is quite cool and made me learn the fast pace that a start-up works in the immense competitive world. Though it is just two months, the work environment thought me how to cultivate the smiles in the people, make them work and learn from them, how important to keep note of everything.

Learning from everyone?

Yes, everyone has different skill, for example, while I was working on digital marketing, someone designs the creatives. Out of curiosity, it happened for me to learn a new tool called illustrator from the colleague in a basic way which actually made me learn something new and have that satisfactory smile.

This taught me that no matter what happens, how hard life throws, you need to keep learning new things which keeps you motivating cause ultimately all your learnings heap. Start-ups are indeed the best places for one to learn some many things. Oh yeah! Before I forget to tell you, I have worked so far with 7 start-ups with which the pace of my work is actually track able for me which I have told earlier that this what I have dreamed, Keeping myself Busy. Remember?

So, this sums up my internship experience that love, learning, culture, agility are surely the skills that are very important for the work and for the life.
