Lesson Learned-TAPMI

To succeed in life one must do hard work and for working hard one should have good health so that all the energy can be directed to right directions. I have dealt with a peculiar health situation in my 2nd year of engineering. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) and that year had been a challenging one.

My haemoglobin had dropped down to 6.1. I could not attend classes because of weakness and fatigue but when you are studying in college there are set rules regarding the minimum attendance which a student must adhere so that he is eligible to sit in the final end term examination. I somehow managed to get minimum 60% attendance required so that you are eligible to give end semester examination or exams would have been directly conducted next year and wait of 1 year would have led to major setback.

When I got chance to give exams I studied hard because life taught the lesson about the importance of studies and health hard way. This incident changed my perception towards studies I started paying more attention towards it and I felt the zeal to succeed in life because of which while working I decided to pursue MBA and balanced my studies with hectic work life. Also I am more aware about the health issue and the implications which it can have on life and hence I take precautionary measures to keep everything in check. Good thing is that today it isn’t the reason to hold me back.
