Our team was thrilled about the making it to the next round of the prestigious national level debate competition. Our desire to reach the finals and bring laurels to our college made us burn the midnight oil and we ensured that no stone was left unturned in our preparation.

As the D-day approached, we had to decide our dress code so that we looked our best. My first choice was my favorite Louis Philippe formal suit that is both comfortable and sharp. Be it my first job interview or the selection round for TAPMI, my collection of formal wear from Louis Philippe has seen it all.

On the day of the final round, I called up my parents to take their blessings. Thanks to the amazing 4G experience provided by my Vodafone connection, I could talk to them over a video call as if I was at home. Feeling confident about ourselves, our team performed well and proceeded to the next round of the competition.

When I returned to my hostel room that evening, I realized that some essentials had to be restocked. The most convenient option for me is the More Supermarket, which is a one-stop source for all my needs. I have always enjoyed shopping for monthly groceries at More due to its exhaustive product catalog and customer-oriented service.

Later that night, I remembered that my cousin would be graduating from college. Since I would not be able to be there for her on her big day, I decided to send my best wishes. I logged on to the Pantaloons online store and was greatly impressed with the collection and the offers that the website had and happily ordered a beautiful gown for her graduation ceremony as a gift.

I realized how the brands of the Aditya Birla Group was improving my quality of living and happiness. The group enabled me to cater to both my needs and my family's needs in whichever part of the world I was. This left me inspired by its legacy. I understood the sheer amount of hard work that one needs to put in consistently over the years to build a business and to become a successful business leader. Deeply motivated, I resolved to work harder to make my journey at TAPMI worthwhile and memorable.

Part B- How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?

What Doesn't Kill You, Makes You Stronger.

Though I had been consistently working towards my goal since many years, the past two years were really about MBA and MBA alone. Every step I took was measured to ensure that it helped me get closer to my dream of joining a good business school.

I had everything planned, or so I thought. The first setback came about when I was diagnosed with Dengue before my 12th Board exams. I rightly guessed that I wouldn't be able to perform to my best in the Boards. I was deeply pained by the turn of events as I knew I had to have good academics to secure admission to a good B-school. Destiny played its part furtively, but I knew I had to buckle up.

After a few years, I attended the selection processes of various business schools. Nevertheless, I couldn't convert any of the calls I had. It was tough as I had changed jobs and shifted cities to aid my preparation. Things only got tougher from then till I sat down to understand the chaos that my life had become. I realized that I was working hard, but without a strategy. I was putting in 100%, but not by drawing lessons from my past mistakes.

I resolved to be mentally strong, no matter what happened; to learn from mistakes and emerge stronger. As I always knew it would not be an easy journey, I may as well put in my best efforts. My efforts and optimism paid returns big time as I not only secured admission in business schools in India, but also in the United Kingdom.

Like they say, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. I realized my journey to TAPMI has been one of self-discovery. It has changed me as a better person. Challenges add the much needed zing in our lives, and the thrill we experience after crossing the hurdles is unparalleled. I look forward to the two years of learning that lies ahead of me at TAPMI.
