IIM Raipur

About

IIM Raipur, established in 2010, currently operates out of a temporary campus but is expected to shift to its new campus in Naya Raipur soon. The government has allotted a 200-acre plot for this purpose. IIM Raipur, much like its IIM counter-parts established in the same era, is one of the fastest growing IIMs that sees a variety of new recruiters from a gamut of industries on campus each year.

USP

IIM Raipur is known to have the best international student exchange among all new IIMs. The institute has partnered with foreign universities across 13 countries in the world, and has an international exchange partnership with HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, University of Newcastle, Solbridge International Business School, amongst others.

Highlights of the IIM Raipur Admission Criteria 

  • There is a subsequent increase in shortlisting percentile for overall CAT scores. Last year the weightage to CAT score was 32. This time it is 35.
  • There has been a 50% decrease in the weightage for the academic score. It has gone down from 20 to 10 points. More importance will be given to work experience now.
  • In order to become more gender-inclusive, IIM Raipur has increased points for gender diversity. However, it is only the females who are for eligible the diversity score.

Courses Offered

1. Post Graduate Program (PGP)

Post Graduate Program (PGP) is a master level full-time residential program at IIM Raipur. IIM Raipur is part of Common Admission Process 2020. The admission for this program follows two-stage process, namely, shortlisting candidates for personal appearance (PA) and final selection. Selection of candidates is based on the Final composite score under each category (General, NC-OBC, SC, and ST). The reservation policy of IIM Raipur is as per the GoI rule.


2. Program Structure (EFPM)

The programme has two components. The first component of the programme consists of an on-campus course work involving a series of courses followed by a comprehensive examination. The second component of the programme consists of thesis work.
