ME AS AN INTERN:

I worked as an intern in Woxsen school of business. Where I had gained the real knowledge about the educational industry. Being a part of new organization and with a complete set of new people is always difficult but my mentor made my life so easy that I started feeling as if I was never new to them. I felt that I was the full-time employee, they made me feel responsible as a manager for the projects assigned to me rather than an intern working under them. Few of my job responsibilities include

  • Tie ups with different Undergraduate colleges for branding, seminars etc.
  • Tie up with different consultancies in different major cities.
  • Leads generated by different institutes like Career launcher
  • Leads generated by direct enquiries, student references, walk-ins etc.

 lead generation, client dealings, campaigns in various cities which can never be so hit without my mentor support. He made me understand how to deal with different people. The objective of the internship programme was to get familiarize with the implementation of the knowledge that I had earned in the campus. The practical knowledge is far different from the bookish knowledge that I had achieved in an institution. But I was able to understand and implement the concepts with the support of my mentor and my other colleagues. I got to understand the importance of minute details in the field of Marketing.

The purpose of my project is to analyze the market and understand the branding pattern. This study helps to gain live experience of a strong, consistent brand is particularly critical for trusts. A distinctive logo, font and design should echo across all marketing materials.

Attract the best staff;

Recruit new students;

Increase aspirations and self-esteem in existing students;

Improve your profile in the local community;

Engage with other education providers or businesses.

The organization were open to ideas and they had offered me two different roles which is always a dream of any MBA student to explore different departments where they can know their abilities and area of interest in a big picture. I had worked in the Marketing and HR departments where I get exposure into following details of both the domains:

Coordinated with various under-grad colleges in and around Hyderabad and organized career counselling sessions and bonding activities to brand Woxsen School of Business among them. Visited institutions to contact students. Developed association with different other companies as a part of corporate relations. Conducted events in various cities for branding of the Organization. Generated leads for corporate relations. Being a part of end to end admissions cycle - starting from lead generation through online and offline activities, Lead conversion by counselling and ground visits and closing the leads by rolling out offers.

HR Generalist tasks:

Employee life cycle:

 1. Recruitment

             2.Induction

 3. Joining and relieving

 4. Leaves and Attendance.

Pay role preparation

360 degrees performance appraisal and

 How to prepare policies and service rules of the organization.

File management and Organizational structure.

After these two months of Internship I am satisfied with the work that I had learned and the results that I was able to achieve. All these things can never be possible without a great mentor support , where I was felt secure and confident to implement new ideas.
