MICA has started its registrations for Phase 1 of MICAT. MICA is famous as the marketing campus, offering two management programs:  PGDM and PGDM-Communications. MICAT is conducted twice in 48 cities on the first Saturday of December and the last Saturday of January. Students have the option to appear in any one of them or both to consider the best score. The application fee for MICAT is Rs.2100.

MICAT Registration 2024: Eligibility Criteria for MICA

1. Most importantly, to be eligible for admission to MICA, you must take either CAT 2024 or XAT 2025 and GMAT (starting from 2023). Additionally, you are required to complete one of the MICATs.
2. Basic Eligibility: Minimum of 3 years of Bachelors Degree/ Final year student.

MICAT Paper Pattern

MICAT consists of 3 sections:

1. Section A: Psychometric Test
2. Section B: Descriptive Test
3. Section C: (has 4 sub-sections) – Divergent and Convergent Thinking; Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation and General Awareness

MICA Selection Criteria for Batch 2025-27

1. Stage 1: Section A of the MICAT paper: Psychometric Test becomes a qualifier/ minimum requirement for shortlisting.
2. Stage 2: The candidate’s GMAT/CAT/XAT score is assessed next. There is a minimum cut-off for each section.
3. Stage 3: Firstly, Section C of MICAT is checked. Those who pass all the subsections of C are evaluated for Section B.
4. Candidates clearing each of the given sections are called for GE and PI. MICAT has a GE instead of a GD. GE or General Exercise you are given a task with a group and assessed on the result.

1. How many times can we appear for MICAT?

Ans. You can appear for MICAT twice. MICAT conducts MICA on two dates- 1st Saturday of December and the last Saturday of January. Candidates can appear in any one or both.
