Pantaloons is the retail brand name of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. which affected me the most. ABFRL is under one of the largest multinational conglomerates of Aditya Birla Group. Many of the Indians are still unaware of the various products/ brands of ABG group i.e. people are aware of the product name but unaware of the parent group. It was through the research for this article which led me to know all the different sectors of ABG group including textiles, telecom, UltraTech cement, cellulose, capital, etc. ABG covers about 34 countries employing nearly 1.5lakh people from 42 countries. It has a revenue of $40 billion and is one of the Fortune500 companies.
What impacted me and my family the most was the retail store of Pantaloons which was opened near my hometown in Ranchi. The variety of products which indicated their diversity in choice and styles form a large part of their stores. Pantaloons has an exclusive more than 30 brands covered under its name covering from Van Heusen, Peter England, Allen Solly etc.
Pantaloons was established in 1997 but after it was acquired by ABG group in 2012 from future group, it started operating successfully.
Pantaloons impacted us due to gamut of clothing covering casuals, formal wear, ethnic wear, party wear, etc. for both men and women. It has a thousand of products to choose from thereby giving an ample amount of options to choose from.
Me and my family members started shopping for all the occasions from Pantaloons, which helped us to save a lot of money and time as compared to before where we would be wasting a week for shopping by visiting all the stores as each one had limited stocks and they didn’t cover all the ranges. The green card offered a lot of reward points which helped us in cost effective way to shop more. The pricing of the stores make it even more better placed among other competitors.
The user- friendly approach by their staff members, the innovation and research in the dresses and the professional relationship put in by them are commendable. The service feedback tab provided at the end is the most liked part as they care for the customers even after they had paid the bill and want to retain and make their customers revisit the store.
ABG customer centric approach is the key element for the success of organization and the way it leaves huge impact on their customers which helps them not only in retaining but also increasing their customer base.
