Most of the things that people in my vicinity use can be traced back to one of the most trusted groups in the country, Aditya Birla Group of companies. As I start getting ready for the day ahead , I realise most of my wardrobe belongs to Pantaloons, Allen Solly, Van Heusen. The association just grows when I see aluminium foil, produced by Hindalco neatly folded in a triangle to wrap my lunch.Aditya Birla Carbon is responsible for tyres of my vehicle as well millions of cars on road. Bandra-Worli sea-link is an engineering marvel which coupled with Ultra-tech cement's strength, describes an oasis in the middle of Mumbai.

Last year though, Aditya Birla Group's nascent initiative made a major impact on my life. I was empowered in true sense. With an initiative to remove the stigma around mental health, Neerja Birla with Ananya Birla started Mpower foundation. I have had trouble with anxiety before but didn't know how to broach the topic at home. I just accepted that I am anxious and there's nothing that I can do about it. I didn't want to worry my family and friends, moreover I wasn't sure of how helpful their reaction would be. Stress was building up in my life, I wasn't happy at my place of work, it was the first time I was away from home, and I wasn't sure if I needed to seek a professional's help. As I was scrolling through my social media feed, I stumbled upon the words, #ItsOkToNotBeOk. It was probably what I needed to read the most in that period, I checked Mpower's website, mpowerminds.com , and my thoughts were aligned in a better perspective. I realized there were many people around me battling similar issues with a smile on their faces. I decided to seek help, and as the thought goes, one shall receive, what one seeks. Mpower not only helped me deal with my anxiety issues, but it also made me aware of my potential. The biggest takeaway from my experience with Mpower has been being able to contribute to stamp out stigma campaign by Mpower. I participated in cycling marathon in Mumbai and realized how much of a contribution Aditya Birla Group has made to make our lives not just easier but also healthier. Eventually, I started participating in live chats arranged by the foundation, the more I got involved, the more comfortable I felt about talking about it. I started talking about mental health concerns with my family and friends and realized that everyone had outstretched their arms in need, all you need to do is take a leap of faith and hold it.
