"Mushkil Waqt, Commando Sakht!" This to me, was merely a dialogue I heard in the armed forces.
After meeting Mr. P.S. Negi aka "The Siachen Devil",
the whole meaning of the saying changed.
During my most trying times, physically and mentally, this man helped me push myself beyond what I thought my capabilities were.
He said to me - "If you're training under a commando, if you're carrying the attitude of a commando, you better be hardcore, up for everything that life throws at you. And you can only learn this attitude, out here (literally)on the mountains, when you don't have control over what you can face next. So tell me Arjun, are you up it?
Mushkil Waqt!?" Commando Sakht!
A big shoutout to this person.
An armed forces hero and most importantly, a great friend.
I can confidently say now, that I can and will face whatever is thrown at me with the "attitude of a commando".
I hope everyone gets to train under you and carry the vibes that you do. You are, what I call, a guardian angel, that everyone needs at some point.
I wanted to highlight this experience of mine as it showcases the incident which most emphasizes my leadership roles.
