Why Aditya Birla Group Is Big In Your Life
Small things make big things happen in life. Though Aditya Birla Group may have touched many lives in the much bigger form with its wide range of products and services in the market, for me, it is all about how it affected me through small things. It has indeed played a pivotal role in my life till date and has a significant influence on my future decisions. It all started from a situation where I had to buy formals for my 1st interview. I still remember the day, I was looking for some brand that could give me comfort with the quality, provide confidence, and could provide belongingness with my inner self. I could see a store with the tag line, “beginning of good things.” In that intense situation, the tag line got into me so deep that I could not see any store except Peter England. Peter England believes in the authenticity, building trust and sound quality in the market. The tag line adds to me the value that “everything is going to be okay tomorrow.” With the same belief, I was able to crack the interview and got my 1st job. Since then, Peter England has been the choice for me on important occasions. The brand has been the lucky charm for me. It is more evident from the fact that I bought Peter England suits before coming to IIM Ranchi for my MBA as a mark of the beginning of good things.
How Have You Made An Impact –
I am from a family where running a shop was the only way of living life. Though my parents did not have formal education, they always wanted to impart knowledge to their children. Being from Bokaro, which is famous for instilling engineering euphoria in the minds of the teenagers with IIT JEE as one of its ways, I became the first in the family to crack IIT against all social challenges. I was able to mark this achievement with the constant support of my parents, sheer hard work, and believing in myself. Being excited about the chemical engineering techniques used in the industry, I chose Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (Institute of National importance) as it was matching with my goals. I met with significant contrast at college. While trying to cope up with a situation where I found myself lost somewhere in the B. Tech college with great minds, cultural and demographic diversities, I found the way of making friends and becoming less introvert.
The college had many domain-specific clubs and committees, but there was no entrepreneurship cell. I believed that there should be a club in the college that could help a “job creator” in this journey. The challenges were to align like-minded people together, getting consensus from students and faculties, getting the budget approved, and finally getting things running. I can proudly say that E Cell is going great.
During the college journey, I did not lose my focus from the studies and project. I presented the poster on my research work at Work Renewable Energy Technology conference on reducing electricity usage by using Phase change material. It was challenging to come up with the cheap materials that can be transformed into Phase Change Materials. Judges like the research work & presentation, and I won the best poster presentation award at the conference. At the end of my B Tech career, I was the topper of the chemical engineering and second in the college. With the fear of losing out, I always try and try and try until I succeed
