At the very early stage of my life, adaptability and an open mindedness towards change were infused in me. Since my father had a transferrable job, it gave me a delightful opportunity to stay in various parts of the country. Living in different geographies and mixing with different cultures of India had a major role in grooming my personality. This exposure instilled in me the confidence to face new things in my life and experiment different challenges without any hesitation.

When I failed to secure an admission in a premier institute like IIT or NIT, I took it as a challenge and worked hard through the four years of my engineering course. Finally, the hard work gave rich dividends, a university rank from Mount Carmel College and the “Best outgoing student Award” for all round performance. During my final year placement, I faced yet another challenge, many students who had performed poorly secured plum placements, whereas the front-liners ended up with average placements.

Once again learning from the setback, I started focusing more on my soft skills to improve my employability. On completion of my first project, my first employer, Tesco recognized my effort and they rewarded me with higher responsibilities. I was in the path of continuous learning from my seniors and peers. Later, with three years of work experience, I joined TAPMI for further value addition.

My goal in simple terms is to climb up the career ladder by creating value and reach the top to spread the value.

An honest introspection has helped me identify my strengths and weaknesses and I adopted a strategy to strengthen my strengths and outsource my weaknesses to deal with the opportunities and threats that will come my way.

At TAPMI, I have ventured into various activities apart from academics. I believe in holistic development and this drove me into being a member of the Toastmasters Committee. Together, the team organized its flagship event TMUN 2019. Besides this, I have never let go of any opportunity to represent my section at WAVES in singing or SPEED in throw ball, dodgeball and athletics.

Working with the young and energetic group at TAPMI was always inspiring and encouraging. In fact, I was never working, but living the moment and enjoying life all through my days at TAPMI. It is this realization that “working is tiresome but living the moment is joyful”, my biggest learning at TAPMI in the last one year.

In addition, I would also like to improve my networking and rapport building skills, as I believe that, staying connected is one the biggest strengths that any leader must possess. Keeping abreast with the news and voraciously reading about great leaders and have a strong understanding of the industry are few of my action plans, to achieve my career goal.
