Well, our college has a big name (literally), in every way. I hope you are here for a quick review of the interview questions I encountered during my interview. Sorry to bother you, man! No, I'm not telling you that.
This tale is more about the journey and less about consequences. After multiple B-School interviews! From ILM L to MDI G, D-Day has arrived. My Interview slot was 9-12, but the Admission committee asked us to join latest by 8. After multiple tests on my looks and visual aspects, I squared off with one and swapped on my laptop.
The complete process was communicated by mail, well in advance of the interview schedule. We were given a Gather link to join the process. And BOOM! The moment I clicked on the Join button, I had my own ‘AVATAR'. Besides, I can control it with arrows. It wasn’t normal; the login button was a gateway to a virtual SOM (Yes! It is SJMSOM). We were in a Virtual building, with an auditorium, conference room, activity room, and Doc Verification Room. Honestly speaking, I wasn't expecting it or having lived it before. A virtual platform, where we can watch Mr. Bean OR Tom & Jerry drain our stress, a conference room where we can virtually meet with other candidates, and Just-in-before Interview waiting rooms, where seniors were trying their best to give you the secrets behind the door! That was a pun! Do NOT CENSURE that. Please!
Such an interactive platform, in order that you feel better with virtual change, is SOM. The entire interview process has been so well thought out, that for the first time in your life, you may wish not to reach the end soon. Because It’s no longer about Interviews! It's just something that would stand there forever, Goosebumps!
