Aditya Birla group is one of the most recognizable and influential companies in the Indian landscape. Founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857, Aditya Birla group had its humble beginnings from being a cotton and jute trading business to a business powerhouse with an annual turnover of 44 billion $ (2018).

One of the most recognizable products of ABG according to me is Cement. A home is a place, where you feel comfortable. A home is built with a family. A home provides you with the community that will always be there for you. We built ours back in 1998 in a small cozy town in the outskirts of Bangalore.  Back then, there was no facility for loans and credit was hard to come by. This was one of the greatest milestones of my father’s and consequently mine. I was just 4 years old at the time, I could not comprehend its importance. I vividly recall the days when I would cling on to my dad on scooter on the way to the construction site. I would see trucks delivering bricks, steel and most importantly, cement that brings all this together. ‘Birla Shakthi’ the bag would read. This was my first contact with ABG, but I didn’t know at the time.

Fast forward to 2013, I was 15. ‘More’ set up shop just a few meters from our home. No more planning to purchase simple groceries. I loved the convenience, everything was under one roof, no haggling and bargaining & prices were reasonable.

ABG has definitely touched my life in a meaningful way and will always have a soft corner for the brand. It has always lived up to the values and ethics of the founding fathers. It is rare for any enterprise to touch so many lives and have so many verticals fulfilling societal needs. I would love to join the ranks of this highly respected organization someday.
