My first mobile network was IDEA. As a first time mobile user, I was very excited and had a lot of ideas about how I wanted to use my phone to have fun as well as to be productive. The service was so wonderful that it helped me in networking at a very young age. IDEA gave affordable recharge plans which helped me in setting up my Photography Business. Contacting clients and not having to worry about expensive phone charges was a huge relief to a young entrepreneur like me. It may seem like a small thing to some people, but for a student with limited pocket money and the need to network as much as possible, IDEA was a huge boost in my career.
As they say, "Clothes make the man." Being dressed smartly gives you the confidence to take on any challenge. Louis Philippe shirts for college, Allen Solly casuals for parties and Van Heusen suits during interviews and presentations. These brands have always been my go to and occupy a large part of my wardrobe! And the best part is that all of them are available under a single roof in Planet Fashion which makes my life a lot easier.
In the day and age of cashless payments, BHIM ABPB UPI is my savior when it comes to making payments for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the college canteen. No matter how big or small the payment I need to make is, I prefer to use BHIM for the only reason that it is safe, secure and extremely easy to use. It is truly trustworthy.
These are just a few examples of how ABG has impacted my life and I shall always owe them for helping me build my photography business and being a part of my transformation into the person that I am today.
Part – B
At the core of the ABGLP program are people who drive to make an impact, irrespective of what challenges they face.
Tell us, in at least 250 words, ‘How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far’.
When the photography storm took over the nation a few years ago, I was one of the many people who got swept away with it. With every Tom, Dick and Harry running around with a DSLR camera, clicking pictures, most students were "amateur photographers" who used to take pictures for their friends' social media. But I had other plans. The entrepreneurial spirit in me encouraged me to start a photography business in Mysore. But that wasn't an easy feat to achieve. Being an engineering student with limited means was a huge challenge. Nobody was ready to take me seriously in the beginning. Me being young was equated to being immature and unprofessional when that was not at all the case. I was determined to prove everyone wrong. I started small and built my portfolio with the help of my friends and family. I made sure to keep improving my photo editing skills and spent a lot of my free time on Photoshop. I started taking part in a lot of local photography competitions and slowly but surely, people started to come to me with paid projects. It started small, but then I started to get bigger projects and soon, I was taken seriously as a photographer in the city. My work spoke for itself and my age did not seem to matter anymore. The very people who used to make fun of me and were demeaning, now come to me asking for a photo shoot and were willing to pay me more as well. I feel so glad that I did not let people's opinions influence my actions and persevered in order to make my dreams come true.
