There are some things in life, that you choose to do at that specific point of time, maybe out of sheer luck - but those things, however big or small, end up being one of the most important and cherished decisions of your life.
When I was in the first year of my college, I started teaching a girl who was in the seventh standard. Now, I did this for mainly two reasons - my immense liking towards this profession played its important role here, and at the same time, a little bit of extra pocket money didn't seem like a bad idea either. Needless to say, I enjoyed my time teaching her, going through her books and giving her assignments. And I also remember saving most of my fee, month by month.
A few months down the line, I decided to gift my grandfather a suit. Now, my grandfather was a person who was very , very close to me - the closest a guardian or an adult could be to a teenager - my grandfather was beyond that close to me. And one wish he always had was to own a suit. I have imagined that an authoritative figure like him would just look perfect in one, too. Also, because he didn't have one, I wanted to gift him a suit. I have always wanted to be able to do something for my grandfather - giving him something that would be meaningful to him seemed like a good thing to do at that time.
So with the little pocket money that I had saved, I took him to a Pantaloons outlet one day. The exact reason for our visit was a surprise for him and he was beyond happy when he discovered it! We selected a suit from Peter England together, and he was so happy with the it, that proudly wore it on our way back! We had a very nice time that day.
My grandfather passed away a couple of months after this incident.
To be able to do something for someone who means so much to you is such a privilege. And I'm always going to be grateful to Aditya Birla Group for creating Peter England.
Brands touch us in ways more than we sometimes realize. And Peter England truly did touch the lives of two people that day - a young girl in college and an old man who meant the world to her. And I'm very grateful to have taken the decision of taking him out, and gifting him the suit. I will never forget that day, and the happiness that Peter England brought to both of our lives!
Needless to say, from that day on, Peter England became my grandfather's favourite apparel brand.
