Someone has rightly said, “The future depends on what you do today.” To flourish in life, one needs a very conducive environment and that is exactly what my campus provides. Away from the hustle and bustle of cities, my campus allows me to live my (probably last) campus life in a very serene and calm environment. It has got everything to make one’s life peaceful while also being so close to nature. I would go on further to say that my campus is more of a “modern gurukul”, wherein, everyone is in the race to keep oneself abreast about the recent changes in the industry. No wonder, every guest speaker has been in the awe of the beauty of this campus. Being in close proximity of Jim Corbett, Nainital, and many unexplored places like Mukteshwar, Kasauni etc. only adds to the beauty & strategic location of this campus.
Coming to academics, considering the fact that its mentor institute is known for a hectic schedule, IIM Kashipur has been following the trend very loyally. Case studies, assignments, presentations…but this is common in every B-school, isn’t it? Well, definitely. But then what makes us unique is the way we solve them. We have peer learning sessions wherein some students help the batch in understanding the subject matters. It is in this peer learning session that the case discussion takes place. Worth mentioning is the fact that these peer learning sessions are organized for students by students.
A famous Italian proverb goes as, “They who sing through the summer must dance in the winter.” The above proverb aptly defines the aura spread throughout the year here, at IIM Kashipur.
Which company would I like to work for?
Aditya Birla Retail Limited is the company, I would wish to be a part of. My inclination towards operations especially supply chain management instils in me the belief in achieving superior performance. Having done my internship in the same domain, I feel that the supply chain division of the chain of supermarkets would be my go to department.
