Challenges make life interesting and overcoming them makes life meaningful. Without challenges, life is like a smooth sea. A smooth sea never makes a good sailor, whereas a rough sea brings out the talent in a person and helps to become a skilful sailor.
One of the biggest challenges I faced in my life was to manage my work and studies during my preparation for CAT and XAT exams. My career plan was to pursue an MBA from a reputed college after gaining 2 years of Industrial experience so that I would be better prepared to face the corporate world.
Hence, I joined an IT firm and I was selected into a 24/7 support project wherein I had to work from the client site and had to manage a group of vendor staffs. Being an IT firm, the project was demanding a lot from my side and I had to put in a lot of effort and time to complete my tasks. And it was challenging to find time to learn for MBA exams. Yet, I never lost hope, never gave up, believed in myself and utilised all the time management skills I had acquired to find time in between my busy work schedule. I planned things well in advance so that I could avoid any last-minute issues. With proper planning, I was able to prepare well for the exams and was able to attend the exams with high confidence. This helped me get good marks in CAT and XAT exams.
Now, when I look back, I feel proud of the way I handled the situation. I also realised the importance of time management skills in this competitive world.
