Each and every one of us has a back story that has led them to the place that they are at today, both physically and emotionally. Though there has been a considerable amount of barriers in my path I would specifically like to mention the one that was the hardest for me to overcome.
Since I was a child, I had always been a very introvert and an extremely shy person who could not even start a conversation with the person sitting next to her in school. I realiszed that I should change this trait of mine immediately when I started getting group assignments and was consistently one of the last ones to get picked up by my batch-mates as a group member. I started working towards it one step at a time but while staying within my comfort zone. When the next phase of my life started and I left my hometown and moved to a completely new city for my under-graduation, this same trait of mine haunted me when I missed on some great opportunities. The constant need to be in my comfort zone overpowered everything.
This year, before starting my MBA education, I had worked hard on my communication skills since MBA is all about networking. I was determinant to grab every opportunity that comes my way. It's been a month now and my batch-mates tell me that I have been very approachable to everyone since the first time we ever had a conversation.
