Since my childhood, I have always looked up to my father. Observing and learning how he walks to how he holds spoon. I tried to imitate all his subtleties. I try to behave like him as much as I could like copying his use of certain words without knowing their exact meanings. Trying out his shirts, sweaters and shoes were my favourite past time. Although, as I grew up, I noticed that all my father’s shirt said only one brand ‘Peter England’. Shopping for his shirts is always been a troublesome event for both me and my mother. Irrespective how good a shirt might be, he’ll always choose ‘Peter England’. On asking he’ll say that he trusts the brand so why go for another brand. I never agreed with my father. My juvenile mind was too small to understand his choice.

My father has solution to all problems or at least he manages “I’ll handle it” look like a pro. I have always observed him with fixing all the home appliances with great craft. He is one big major reason why I decided to pursue mechanical engineering. When my placement season in engineering were about to start up, he gifted me a ‘Peter England’ shirt. Wearing that shirt, I felt like twice as smart and responsible. He assured me that this shirt will never disappoint me and it never did. The shirt is still one of my favourite shirts. Though, I could not keep myself confined to one brand like my father but Peter England will always be my father’s favourite brand for me.
