“Taking India to the World”
From Nothing to Something.
Today when I look back to 15 years of my life, I feel that I have come so far, and I am proud of myself. I have overcome every challenge that I have faced coming here. We were a happy family of four living in a small village of Gujarat situated in an area named Charotar from where Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel belonged to. But, life never keeps you in your comfort zone. I was ten years old when my father lost the battle with cancer. We have lost our head of the family, only breadwinner. But, My mother had ambitions for us, and she could do anything to achieve it. We migrated to the nearest city. She started doing odd jobs. She started at 1500 per month from which we used to pay 900rps as rent and spend remaining on education, food, etc. As she was doing everything just because she can send us to school, it was my responsibility to give her back in terms of performing well every time.
I performed well every time I have been awarded a scholarship every year. Eventually, I got into an excellent regional college with a full tuition fees waiver. I performed well there too, and I landed up in an excellent IT Consultancy service, which is still a dream for every middle-class student of India. But my ambition was a little higher. I always wanted to pursue an MBA from an Indian Prestige. I started preparing for competitive exams to achieve my dream. I scored well, and I performed a pretty well in every interview call I had. It was mother's day, and I received a mail from IIM Ranchi for my provisional selection. I told my mother and she had no words but just a tears of happiness.
Always dream big and work hard to turn your dreams into reality is what ABG has always pressed upon. My story also somehow relates to this life principle, and I can draw a parallel in my story and the emerging of ABG as a worldwide market leader. I have reached a certain height in my life at present, but as the ABG group says, I've yet to conquer a lot. Why be best only in India? Why not conquer the world! is a principle I've learnt and will follow for years to come!
