Profile - 91.2/92.6/80.5/ 31 Months Work ex in Hindalco
Gather platform was used for Interviewing and Checking Documents which was amazing. A total new experience of interacting with all the peoples and there was also a game room to kill your anxiety.
I was 2nd last in my slot to be interviewed and hence had to wait like all day. Anyways Finally my turn came.
There were 3 Male professors - M1, M2, M3
M1- How are you Faizan?
Me- I'm fine sir. How are you?
M1- Great. So, tell me about Yourself?
Me- Gave well-rehearsed answer, mentioned Six sigma green belt certification and new Grade Development project in firm.
M1- Can you tell me how is Alumina produced?
Me- Gave a well descriptive answer, mentions generation of Red Mud in Bayer's process.
M1- So what is Red Mud and where it is being used?
Me- Explained Definition and told mostly used in cement industry, making roads and all.
M1- What is the future of it? What are we doing today?
Me- Told most of it is being dumped and mentions research Centre where most of the explorations are still going on.
M1- Can you tell some of the competitors of Hindalco.
Me- Mentions Within and outside India
M1- So as an employee of Hindalco, where do you see your company with your competitors.
Me- Mentions New Grade Development project, World-class manufacturing, Safety norms, ISO Certifications for quality, environment and health and safety.
M1 says he is done
Looks pretty satisfied, Over to M2
M2- So Faizan, u mentioned the six sigma project in your introduction. What is it?
Me- Explained what is six sigma
M2- What is 6 and what is sigma?
Me- Explained with the help of Bell curve.
M2- How do you calculate Standard Deviation?
Me- Explained the formula for sample and population as well.
M2- What is DPMO and what is it for six sigma?
Me- Explained DPMO for six sigma and even shows how to calculate it.
M2- Is Bell curve a continuous or Discrete type distribution?
Me- Explained it is Continuous and also explained the difference between two.
M2- Area of bell curve?
Me - Told
M2- What is the probability distribution of a particular value in continuous distribution?
Me- Told it is zero, we measure a range in continuous distribution. Finding the probability distribution for a particular value is possible in Discrete one only.
M2- Tried to confuse me with what i just said.
Me- i stick to my point and further explained.
M2- Can you tell me 3 News which impacts Economy of India?
Me- Told
M2 says he is done and looks satisfied too.
Over to M3
M3- So Faizan, how is your Maths? Probability specifically.
Me- I like doing Maths.
M3 - So great, on a scale of 10, how much would you rate yourself?
Me - Said 7
M3- That's pretty high, let me ask you just 1 question related to probability
If you have 3 persons living in a place and they have a probability of 1/2,1/3,1/4 of telling the truth that whether it is raining at a particular place or not. So how will you find whether it is raining there or not.
Me- Told by using Venn diagram since all events are mutually independent. Looks kind of surprised.
M3- Can you tell me the value?
Me- Sir, I'll have to calculate.
M3- That's okey.
Again, M2 takes over
M2- What other calls do you have and if selected would you join sjmsom?
Me- Again gave a well-prepared answer.
M2- Okey Faizan, we are done here, you can exit the room.
Interview Experience was pretty chilled, didn't feel any bit of grilling. It was more like a conversation between people.
