Challenges are a part of our everyday lives. They help us in becoming stronger individuals and allow us to push ourselves and see what we are actually capable of. These challenges define us and also prepare us for a bigger and better life.

Like anybody else, I’ve also faced many challenges in my life and I overcame one of my biggest challenge last year. I am an ambitious person and have always been clear about what I want from life. I’ve a Bachelors in Business Administration and after graduating from my college in 2016, I kickstarted my career with a Delhi based company where I was working as a Finance and Operations Executive. Alongside work, I also started preparing for the Common Admission Test (CAT) to pursue an MBA. I worked really hard and did my best in managing both my job as well as my studies. When the results came out, I was disheartened as I had done pretty well in 2 sections but scored a 60 percentile in my LRDI. And because of this I couldn’t get into a top college. I decided to put my head down and focus on my work. Last year, I thought of attempting CAT again, but I was a little sceptical about this decision. After thinking and taking advice from some of my seniors and my brother (who had scored 99.15%ile in CAT in 2014) I decided to appear for CAT again. I started preparing for the exam from scratch and slowly started to build momentum.

When the results came out, I had scored 96 percentile in my LRDI section and had a good overall score. Even though I was not satisfied with my results, it was good enough to get into a top B-school of the country. Right now, I’m 2150 kms away from my home, missing my family and friends, sitting in the library of one of the top institutes in our country (T. A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal) and working on the article for the Aditya Birla Group Leaders Program (ABGLP). I’ve made a lot of sacrifices and overcame a lot of challenges to come here, to pursue my dream of becoming one of the top global business leaders and one day I will.
